Want to go to a pool that is relaxing, family oriented, clean and has a sense of community? Then Western is the pool for you and your family. 

A Western Pool member once told his kids they were going to the happiest place on earth—kids' response—"the Western Pool?!" Parents actually were taking the children to Disney but you get the idea of how the kids felt about Western!

 

Whether it is the free hotdogs on holidays, fun Friday game day, swim team, or just hanging out, Western provides a summer pool experience that is wonderful for all ages.

  • Monday - Friday 11:00 PM - 8:00 PM (in effect until 8/11)

  • Saturday - 11:00 AM - 8:00 PM

  • Sunday 11:00AM-7:00PM

  • Monday - Friday 4:30 PM - 8:00 PM (in effect until 8/14-September 1)

SWIM TEAM

The Western Athletic Club Swim Team, the Western Wahoos, is part of the Southern Ohio Swim League and competes against other swim clubs in the Cincinnati area. The Wahoos compete in a variety of strokes and styles, including breaststroke, backstroke, freestyle, and butterfly. The swim team is made up of boys and girls ages 5 to 18 and welcomes swimmers of all skill levels.

  • All swim team participants must have a current Western Pool Membership.

  • Goggles and swim caps are recommended for both practices and competition.

  • Swim team suits are not required. Royal Blue or black suits.

  • Parent volunteers are required for swim meets-running meet and bake sale (proceeds for End of the Year Party)

Becoming a Wahoo means getting great exercise, developing important life skills, working within a team and making new friends!

Swim Lessons

SWIM LESSONS:

Western Athletic Club offers great children's swim lessons. We offer lessons to both members and nonmembers. Swim lessons teach water safety and swim stroke skills and help build confidence in the water. Lessons are taught by our swim team coaches and lifeguards.

Group lessons - Each group is limited to six children per instructor. Each group must have a minimum of three children. 

​Lessons are given Monday through Thursday in 2-week sessions. In the event of inclement weather, a make-up day will be scheduled for Friday.

Pool Party Rentals 

 

Canopy: $110/Member (at this time we will not allow Canopy rentals for Non-Members)

  • Includes access for 15.

  • Monday-Friday 1-4pm or 5-8pm and Saturday-Sunday 1-4pm.

  • A list of guests is required 3-days in advance.

  • $5/person after 15 limit, no more than 20 per party.

  • Non-members must sign a waiver.

  • Limit includes parents of the children in attendance.

  • 3 hours limit.

Private Party: $420/Member, $550/Non-Member (must be sponsored by a member in order to rent)

  • Private rental of the whole pool and includes, lifeguards, sand volleyball, outdoor grill and picnic area. 

  • Limit of 100 guests. 

  • Saturday and Sundays Only from 7-10pm.

  • Non-members must sign a waiver.

  • The pool will close 15 minutes prior to the rental start time.

Pool Rules and Procedures

Party Rentals

Western Athletic Club has adopted the following pool rules to provide for the safety and

enjoyment of its members and their guests during use of the pool facility.   

  • Membership is required to enter the pool unless you are a guest.  All members must check-in at the Snack Shack upon entering the pool. Please enter through the main gate and exit through the back gate.

  • All guests must be accompanied by a Western member and present a guest pass (one per guest) or pay the required guest fee prior to admittance. Guest passes may be purchased at the Western Front Desk or Snack Shack. Children 1 year and under do not require a guest pass. 

  • Children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult.

  • Wading pool is limited to children 5 and under accompanied by an adult.

  • Proper swim attire required.

  • No running, pushing or rough play allowed. 

  • Members and guests shall refrain from abusive or foul language, loudness, etc.

  • Only one person permitted on the diving board. No diving in shallow end of pool.

  • Smoking or vaping is prohibited on the pool deck.

  • All alcohol must be purchased at Western due to our liquor license. No alcohol will be sold during swim meets.  Only those 21 or older may purchase or consume alcohol on the premises.

  • The Club may not be used for any political purposes.  Soliciting or offering anything for sale on Club premises is prohibited unless authorized by the Club.

  • Pets are not permitted on the Club premises except for verified service animals.

  • Guns and firearms are strictly prohibited on Western’s property.

  • It is the responsibility of the parent or guardian to closely supervise their children at all times, including the wading pool. 

  • Glass containers of any kind are strictly prohibited on Club premises.

  • Management reserves the right to close the pool during inclement weather that prohibits swimming, health reasons, maintenance, swim meets, special events, private parties or any other reason deemed necessary by management.

  • Members are responsible for any damages caused by the member or their guests for any misconduct.

  • The lifeguards on duty manage the pool during business hours and will enforce pool rules as instructed by Western management.

  • Riding or hanging on to the life line (the ropes) is prohibited.

  • Food and drinks are not permitted on the edge of the pool or in the pool, including the wading pool.

  • Hours of operation are posted on the website.

  • If you are sick, please do not come to the pool.  Please wash your hands often.

  • If inflatable rafts or toys are interfering with the safety and pleasure of other members, the Pool Manager has the authority to prohibit them. 

  • Babies who wear swim diapers (Swimmies) are recommended to remain in the wading pool.
